Dental Photography

Dental photography has become an essential element of modern clinical practice. High-quality photographic documentation plays a crucial role in diagnostics, treatment planning, communication with dental laboratories, patient education, and scientific presentations.

This 3-day intensive hands-on course focuses on mastering both the technical and artistic aspects of dental photography, as well as integrating images into modern digital workflows using Adobe Lightroom and SmileCloud®.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of dental photography, including camera systems (Nikon and Canon), lenses, flash systems, and light modifiers. The theoretical part is followed by practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions with patients.

Each participant will create a complete clinical photographic portfolio, including intraoral images, portraits, and esthetic photographs following international standards for clinical documentation, esthetic analysis, and communication with laboratories and patients.

The second part of the course introduces Adobe Lightroom and SmileCloud® workflows. Participants will learn how to import, organize, edit, and export images for clinical presentations, scientific publications, social media, and lectures.

Special emphasis is placed on image management, color consistency, and visual storytelling, which are essential elements of modern dental communication and education.

For the duration of the course, the organizer provides computers, software, and professional photographic equipment.
